Seasonal. Day one.

A three day weekend didn't seem long enough. So, being the bad parents we are, picked up kids early from school and headed out.

Still, didn't get to Yogi until 445 or so. I won't lie, the lot wasn't quite as expected. Needed a mow ($2700 doesn't buy mower service), and take up last years mess that was left behind.

Finally got to eat around 7. But, water set up, power, satellite, the works. All good to go.

Now kicking back and chillin.

Fire tomorrow night.

2016 Prep

Welcome to 2016. Every trip starts somewhere. This one, Access NS for the transit permit. And as always, the line is long. Most popular place on the planet.

After this excursion, home to dig out the remains of 2015, vacuum, mop, shine and pack.

We are seasonal this year, so only one towing road trip and park the old girl for our fun summer.

South Mountain Park

Just arrived at South Mountain Park. Since I've lived and worked on the South Shore, I must have passed this place 250 times but never ventured in.

We picked the spot, not out of a burning desire to be here, but because Yogi was booked up. But out of necessity comes new adventures.

So far, gotta say, impressed. Not as flashy as Yogi, but looks popular! And brochure lists lots of activities.

Waiting on our new camping friends. Lucky them. Haha

First trip of 2015

We were a little late starting this year. Nick and I usually have something on the go by May. But with Quebec Trip and other things getting in the way, here we are in July.

No sleep after nights. Home. Finish packing (So much prep was done there by super efficient wifey!! Thank you!)

On the road around 11:40 and off we went to... Yogi.

Setting up the camper was fun as someone may have driven over a fire pit. Ouch. Oh well. Seriously. That's what insurance is for!

Bethany brought her pal Sydnee and we brought every bike, scooter and wheelchair imaginable!

The fire last night was amazing. S'mores, hot dogs and just plain old marshmallows.

Vidito Day Two

Settling in. Loving it! Quick run/walk this morning.

Legs killed but did it.

Ayles showed up. Finally!! But not as lite as they had us believing!

Great steak dinner! Fun for all!

Mosquitos times a plenty!

Camp Brigadoon

Nick had himself a class trip. Brigadoon Kids Camp in South Alton.

He wasn't too sure about how he felt about staying overnight somewhere other than home, so dad drug the trailer up to keep him company.  Quite the place!!

Two nights this stop.

Vidito Family Campground

First morning post of the first real family vacation of 2014.

At Vidito Family Campround http://viditocamp.com just outside of Middleton, NS. Arrived yesterday, set up and just kicked back!

The elders found the restaurant. Of course. The littles just happy to camp!

Alicia sat in the sun and commented, "As good as the Dominican!" Not so sure about that!

Hit Avery's for ice cream last evening. Perfect day!

Just waiting for the Ayles to arrive today.
